Lift & Shift Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for inclusion in science and technology fields. Our mission involves fostering education, confidence, and opportunities for veterans and students while promoting their engagement in STEM disciplines. We bridge the gap between the evolving world of science and technology.
At Lift & Shift, we believe in empowering veterans and students by providing hands-on experiences, mentorship, and resources. Our initiatives include developing educational programs, conducting academic research related to recreational therapy, advocating for brain health and science literacy, and addressing legislative issues vital to veteran advocacy.
We are committed to establishing a virtual makerspace and a comprehensive learning repository where projects developed by interns and contributors become valuable resources. Our outreach efforts extend across various media channels, including social media platforms, websites, blogs (Medium), emails, and Slack, aiming to increase science literacy among diverse audiences while advocating for veteran inclusion in STEM fields.
