Social Media Content Creator Intern (In-Person)
Role Description
We are looking for multiple creative, self-motivated social media interns to help us capture and promote the energy of our events and mission. Content creators will work in a collaborative, hands-on environment—both indoors and outdoors—and will be encouraged to incorporate innovative tools like AI into their workflow.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and scheduling engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
- Shooting and editing photos, videos, and reels of vendors, performances, and behind-the-scenes moments at Rockland Trust Plaza
- Collaborating with a marketing team to grow engagement and drive foot traffic to events
- Using Google Suite to stay organized and track projects
- Assisting with social media campaigns aligned with Woo Sox games and Canal District events
- Helping build brand awareness for F.A.M. Jam!, Rockland Trust Plaza, Woo Sox, and the Canal District
- Attending weekly content creation meetups either at the Worcester Public Library (3 Salem Square) or 45 Green Street
Application Requirements
- Interest in content creation, community development, arts, and/or event marketing
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with or openness to learning content tools like Canva, CapCut, Instagram/TikTok scheduling tools, and basic video/photo editing
- Personal electronic device for content creation
- Passion for storytelling, leadership, and representing diverse communities
Location
In-person (Worcester, MA – Rockland Trust Plaza, 3 Salem Square or 45 Green Street)
Occasional Zoom meetings may be required.
