Role Description
As the In-Store Inventory Assistant, you’ll be a key liaison between Alurella and its retail partner, Moda Natty. You will help document, organize, and verify inventory details directly from the Moda Natty boutique and work alongside digital content interns to ensure the Alurella online store accurately reflects what is available in-store. This is a fantastic opportunity for a student interested in fashion, retail operations, e-commerce, or entrepreneurship.
Key Responsibilities:
1. In-Store Inventory Collection (at Moda Natty)
- Visit Moda Natty to collect and log detailed product information including:
- Product names, designer or brand
- Item types (dress, blouse, outerwear, etc.)
- Sizes available
- Fabric/material
- Colors
- Pricing
- Quantity available
- Photograph garments for online use (training on brand photography guidelines provided)
- Verify product tags, SKU labels, and size consistency
2. Inventory Matching & Data Entry
- Collaborate with other Alurella interns to:Assist with organizing and renaming product images.
- Match Moda Natty’s physical inventory to Alurella’s digital inventory system
- Upload accurate product listings onto the Alurella website
- Ensure correct categories, descriptions, and sizing information
- Assist in flagging any missing data, low stock, or duplicates
3. Quality Control & Organization
- Help ensure product photos are clean, well-lit, and aligned with brand standards
- Double-check inventory listings for typos, formatting issues, or incorrect pricing
- Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets or digital tools
4. Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain regular check-ins with your supervisor and the other interns (remote or in person)
- Coordinate scheduling with Moda Natty staff to collect and verify items on-site
- Provide input to improve efficiency in the inventory transfer process
Who You Are
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through
- Responsible, professional, and punctual for in-store visits
- Interested in fashion, retail, or tech
- A good communicator—comfortable asking questions and working with others
- Able to use Google Sheets, take basic smartphone photos, and learn digital tools quickly
Bonus If You Have
- Prior volunteer or work experience in retail or school clubs
- Familiarity with Shopify, or similar platforms
- An eye for style and product presentation
- A personal interest in modest fashion or women’s entrepreneurship
