Maya’s Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals with their future endeavors. As part of this mission, we are building the Maya’s Hope App, a tool that helps people navigate a wide range of post-secondary processes. Through tailored resources, progress tracking, and direct support, the Maya’s Hope App empowers users to access opportunities that can change their futures.
Role
- Build, maintain, and optimize web applications and websites. Work with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create responsive, user-friendly, and visually consistent interfaces. Implement interactive components, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and follow best practices for performance and accessibility.
- Collaborate with communication and design intern to implement feasible UI/UX.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with interactive UI components (modals, tabs, forms, carousels, etc.).
- Knowledge of web performance optimization and accessibility best practices.
Preferred (not required):
- Familiarity with Figma export and design handoff workflows.
- Experience minimizing and bundling static assets.
- Knowledge of CSS preprocessors or build tools.
- Ability to translate designs into functional web interfaces.
Location: Remote
Compensation: Unpaid
Time Commitment: 4-6 hours per week
