About the Program
Students in Transition is an emerging program designed to support young people navigating moments of change—academic, personal, cultural, or social. The work blends storytelling, reflection, listening, and community-based learning to help students make sense of who they are and where they’re headed.
As a Student Experience & Program Development Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced educators and practitioners with Ivy League training and deep backgrounds in storytelling, learning design, and youth development. This role is exploratory by design and ideal for a student who enjoys thinking, creating, and helping build something new from the ground up.
What You’ll Work On
- Support the development of program ideas, activities, and session outlines for students in transition.
- Help design and test reflective exercises (journaling prompts, discussion guides, creative activities).
- Observe or participate in sessions and help capture what’s working and what could improve.
- Assist with organizing materials, documenting learnings, and shaping early program structure.
- Contribute ideas for how the program could grow or reach more students.
What We’re Looking For
- A thoughtful, curious student who enjoys reflection, conversation, and creative thinking.
- Interest in education, storytelling, youth programs, or social impact.
- Ability to listen well, share ideas respectfully, and work collaboratively.
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to experiment and learn.
- Strong written communication skills.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Experience with journaling, writing, art, facilitation, or peer mentoring.
- Interest in psychology, education, social work, or community-building.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Docs, Notion, or basic design tools.
Why This Internship Is Different
- You’ll help co-create a program rather than execute a predefined task list.
- Your ideas and reflections will directly influence how the program evolves.
- You’ll gain experience in program design, listening, and facilitation.
- You’ll leave with a clear story you can tell about building something meaningful.
