We are looking for a motivated AI Application Engineer Intern to support the design, development, and deployment of AI-enabled applications. The intern will work closely with founders and senior engineers on real-world AI use cases, moving beyond theory into applied, production-oriented systems. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to building AI products, not just models.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing AI-powered applications using LLMs, ML models, and data pipelines
- Work on prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and agent-based workflows
- Support backend integration of AI models with APIs, databases, and frontend systems
- Help preprocess, structure, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets
- Assist in evaluating model outputs, performance, and reliability
- Document application logic, workflows, and experiments clearly
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product and research tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Strong fundamentals in Python
- Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts
- Familiarity with LLMs (OpenAI, open-source models, etc.) is a plus
- Understanding of APIs, JSON, REST services
- Curiosity to learn, experiment, and iterate fast
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with LangChain, Haystack, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Exposure to databases (SQL / NoSQL)
- Interest in supply chains, sustainability, logistics, or enterprise AI use cases
- Experience with Git and collaborative development
