SPEAKHIRE is offering internship opportunities for students and recent graduates to support its digital platform, which powers programming and service delivery across NYC and beyond. Interns will contribute to full-stack feature development, assist with UI/UX implementation based on Figma prototypes, and participate in bi-weekly sprint cycles. This role is ideal for those interested in mission-driven technology and real-world product collaboration.
Requirements
- Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proficiency in TypeScript (Node.js) and React (TypeScript)
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Git/GitHub, and Material Design
- Experience working with cloud services (Azure preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, independence, and communication skills
- Interest in social impact and tech for good
Syllabus
- Participate in bi-weekly sprint cycles
- Implement new features and resolve bugs across the platform
- Translate Figma designs into responsive UI using Material Design standards
- Collaborate with non-technical staff to align product goals with user needs
- Conduct testing, documentation, and platform reliability checks
- Contribute to SPEAKHIRE’s transition to modern SaaS infrastructure

Compensation:
Unpaid and can move to paid
