We’re looking for high-performing students to join us as Marketing & Business Development Interns (Student Ambassadors).
This is a unique opportunity to gain experience across all aspects of Marketing at a fast-growing company. Interns will support the development of our social media strategy; the execution of field marketing events; and the infrastructure to communicate with our vast alumni network.
You’ll play a key role in driving brand awareness, increasing referrals, and engaging local community.
What You’ll Do
In-Person (30%)
- Attend local private dinners hosted by Empowerly, representing the company to prospective students and families
- Support with event logistics including set up and checking in families
- Share your personal Empowerly story in an authentic, compelling way at local events
- Periodically travel to in-person meetings to create content with our social media team
Remote (70%)
- Develop unique and effective outreach campaigns with the Events team to share your Empowerly story with your personal networks
- Create engaging social media content (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) that reflects your experience with the Social Media Content team
- Pitch & execute ideas for webinars, events, and social media campaigns by and for Empowerly students
- Advise the Events and Lifecycle Marketing Teams around local context, event creation & lead engagement in your area
- Help manage lead capture processes and data entry into CRM systems
- Share feedback and insights on what students and families care about to all company stakeholders
Who Should Apply
Required
- Currently residing in (or willing to travel to) Bergen County, Princeton or Short Hills
- Experience in community building & organizing events around specific causes, communities, or goals
- Experience creating social media content that keeps on top of current trends on Instagram and Tik Tok
- Comfortable sharing your Empowerly experience in personal and professional networks and settings
Preferred
- Experience with HubSpot, Airtable, or Wordpress
- Video editing experience
- Local geographical knowledge on Bergen County, Princeton or Short Hills
