Company Mission: Join our team of mission-driven young people from all around the United States to help amplify youth civic engagement and participate in activism on many progressive/social justice issues including climate change, racial justice, reproductive rights, and ending gun violence, and combatting voter suppression in the United States.
- Role Description: Since our inception, which was motivated by the crisis of the 2020 pandemic and subsequent elections, we have been engaging youth from around the country in our TurnUp remote Internship Program. We provide an experientially based program that empowers interns to become civically engaged, responsible, and educated social justice advocates. We believe that there is a strong relationship between education, inspiration, empowerment, and access that results in youth becoming civically and socially minded actors in democracy.

- Key Curriculum: Work on teams to participate in grassroots activism and advocacy on issues you care about. Research activism, advocacy, civics and social justice. Join voter registration and turnout projects. Learn about civics. All interns are supervised by our Internship Manager, Assistant Managers, and Internship Director.
- Skills Developed: Communication, Collaboration, Leadership, Critical Thinking, Writing, and more.
Application Requirements
- Show an active interest in or curiosity about civics and any area of Social Justice/Activism such as climate change, reproductive rights, LGBTQA+, racial justice, etc.
- Once you are accepted, you will receive an onboarding training prior to the start of the internship
Location: Remote
Compensation: Unpaid
Time Commitment: You choose between 5 and 30+ hours. We run our internship all year round, and start new participants on the first Monday of each month
