About the Project
Professor Monica Sanders (Founder, The Undivide Project; Adjunct Professor of Law, Georgetown University) is completing her forthcoming book “Restart: The Case for a New Social Contract for Climate & Digital Justice”, which explores how climate and digital equity intersect to shape a fairer future. I'm looking for a detail‑oriented Research & Editorial Intern to help accelerate background research, source management, and light editing.

Compensation Unpaid — we’ll support academic/service‑learning credit
Key Responsibilities
- Literature Dives: Locate, read, and summarize academic articles, reports, and policy documents on climate justice, digital equity, and labor economics.
- Source Management: Maintain an organized Zotero (or similar) library; generate citations and reference lists in Chicago author‑date style.
- Fact‑Checking & Annotation: Verify data, check quotations, and flag inconsistencies in draft chapters.
- Light Copy‑Editing: Proofread for clarity, grammar, and active voice; suggest concise rewrites that match the author’s style.
- Content Brainstorming: Propose sidebars, case studies, and data call‑outs that make complex concepts accessible to general readers.
- Weekly Check‑Ins: Present progress and discuss next steps with the author and research team.
Ideal Candidate
- Outstanding writing and critical‑reading skills (AP Lang/Comp or journal experience a plus).
- Curious about climate policy, technology ethics, or social justice.
- Comfortable summarizing dense academic sources into plain language.
- Familiarity with Google Docs and any citation manager (Zotero, Mendeley, etc.); willing to learn.
- Meticulous attention to detail and respect for deadlines in a remote setting.
