Role description:
We’re an early-stage startup creating a phygital, big data marketing and advertising mobile application utilizing AR (augmented reality), gamification, and AI for software development and application technology, to increase commerce for local B2C (business to consumer) brick and mortar and events businesses, and sustained economic local community growth. As a pre-funded company, we’re offering a rare opportunity for students or early-career developers to gain real startup experience. You’ll work directly with our CTO and engineering team, gaining hands-on mentorship while helping shape features from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
• Contribute to building our mobile apps (iOS & Android) using React Native.
• Translate designs into responsive, user-friendly experiences.
• Support backend integration, including SQL-based data access.
• Help with app store publishing (Apple / Google Play).
• Work closely with the team to deliver features quickly.
Qualifications:
• Exposure to React Native through coursework, school projects, personal projects, or hobbies.
• Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Interest in UI/UX design principles.
• Basic understanding of databases/SQL.
• Willingness to learn new tools like Expo (or similar frameworks).
• Humble, teachable, and dependable — with a track record of following through on commitments (class projects, internships, clubs, or personal work).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Hackathon, school, or personal projects that demonstrate app building.
• Previous experience in clubs, startups, or small-team environments.
• Apps or prototypes you’ve built and shared with classmates, friends, or online.
• Strong curiosity, adaptability, and ability to learn quickly
