We are seeking a Social Media Intern to collaborate closely with our founder and the our nonprofit partners at the Lift And Shift Foundation. This role primarily involves creating compelling content and public-facing outreach materials. The intern has an option to work across various media channels, including social media platforms, website content, or email communications.
Responsibilities:
- Generate engaging content that translates scientific research and initiatives into accessible and compelling materials for public outreach.
- Read research and transform it into digestible and engaging content for various media channels.
- Learn and effectively use tools like Canva and ChatGPT to create appealing content for different platforms.
- Develop and curate content for social media, website copy, blog posts (Medium), email communications, and Slack channels, aligning with the organization's goals and messaging.
- Assist in strategizing and executing social marketing campaigns related to various initiatives within the organization.

- Creativity and a proactive attitude towards content development and outreach.
Time Commitment: ~8 hours per week
