The public relations intern role is for those who want to gain experience in graphic design, public speaking, and event and social media management. This is a great opportunity to have your event ideas and social media designs reach hundreds of students, as well as an opportunity to network with students and professionals in the computer science and engineering fields. There is no experience in any of the aforementioned areas required; just a passion to grow lukupp’s platform and get creative!
Responsibilities include:
- Media Outreach: Researching media contacts, pitching event and collaboration ideas to other nonprofits, student organizations, and influencers, and building lukupp’s relationships and reputation within the media.
- Social Media Management: Helping to create and schedule social media posts, monitoring social media channels for engagement, and responding to inquiries or comments.
- Event Support: Supporting the planning and execution of events such as workshops, student/professional panels, and joint events with nonprofits.
- Content Creation: Creating flyers and short-form videos for marketing new features, articles, mini-courses, and events on lukupp.com.
