User Experience (UX) Research & Product Insight Intern - Shape the design of a fast-growing fintech platform. Work directly with the CEO and product leaders
About Share Scoops
Share Scoops is a rapidly growing financial education startup that makes the economy simple for everyone. We turn confusing market news into short, clear “Scoops” and help financial experts reach, serve, and educate more people. We recently raised funding, our content reaches millions, and we’re building a new platform that uses interactive learning and light gamification to transform how people understand money.
This internship is perfect for someone who likes understanding why people behave the way they do, enjoys solving product problems, and wants to learn how real startup UX work gets done from testing through design iteration.
Your Role
You’ll work closely with the CEO and our product and engineering teams to shape the user experience (UX) of our next major product release. Your work will directly inform decisions about user flows, educational mechanics, gamification features, and how financial concepts come to life in a simple, engaging way.
You will:
- Conduct user interviews with advisors, consumers, and early testers.
- Run structured usability sessions to observe how real people interact with prototypes.
- Help adapt and improve product wireframes and mockups based on user feedback.
- Analyze usage data and patterns to identify friction points or opportunities.
- Do competitive research on interactive education tools, gamification models, and onboarding experiences.
- Translate insights into clear recommendations for product decisions.
- Work with our CEO and senior engineers to test and refine ideas for interactive financial learning and our new ""financial expertise automation"" workflow.
- Help define the look, feel, and flow of a new user journey from first click to daily habit.
Why This Role Matters
You won’t be “observing UX from a distance.” You’ll be shaping it.
Your work will:
- Influence core design decisions for a platform used by real customers.
- Help launch a product that could redefine financial learning for millions.
- Give you experience in a startup environment where your ideas don’t get stuck in meetings - they get tested fast.
- Connect you directly with high-level product strategy and the creative side of fintech.
