What You’ll Do
- Stakeholder Mapping (Community + Industry): Build contact lists across frontline community groups and industry (e.g., utilities/energy, broadband & telecom, insurers, data centers, logistics, real-estate/developers, and philanthropy).
- Interview Design: Co-create short, plain-language interview guides tailored to each audience to learn about usability, adoption barriers, and data needs.
- Outreach & Scheduling: Send concise outreach emails, track responses, and schedule Zoom/phone interviews.
- Conduct Interviews (with consent): Ask clear, unbiased questions; practice active listening; capture accurate notes and recordings (when approved).
- Synthesis & Reporting: Code notes for themes, compare community and industry perspectives, and produce one-page briefs and slide summaries for the product and UX teams.
- Feedback to Product: Translate insights into practical recommendations (feature requests, data fields, documentation, onboarding).
- Light Comms Support: Draft short blog/updates or talking points that share findings with partners (no publication without approval).
- Data Stewardship: Follow our consent, privacy, and data-handling procedures.
What You’ll Gain

Ideal Candidate
- Strong communicator who is comfortable talking with adults in professional settings and with community leaders.
- Good writer; able to take structured notes and summarize key points.
- Interest in climate justice, environmental policy, technology, or business.
- Organized, reliable, and respectful of deadlines; works well in a remote team.
- Bonus: familiarity with basic qualitative methods, CRM/spreadsheets, or another language (e.g., Spanish).
