Role Overview
The Market Research Intern conducts deep competitive intelligence on content-marketing-as-a-service (Content Marketing XaaS) vendors.
This includes analyzing product workflows, customer segments, pricing strategies, acquisition channels, value propositions, and key differentiators.
The intern will translate competitive insights into actionable recommendations that support:
- product iteration
- marketing focus
- positioning
- pricing strategy
- go-to-market adjustments
This role provides foundational strategic understanding necessary for MediaFusion.ai to refine its differentiation and accelerate customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and categorize narrow competitors and broader XaaS content marketing competitors
- Analyze competitor user flows (onboarding → content generation → distribution → conversion)
- Evaluate product experience, speed, quality, and output consistency
- Study competitor marketing channels:
- social media
- paid ads
- SEO
- newsletter/PR
- affiliate programs
- industry events
- Map competitor pricing models, packages, credit systems, and renewal incentives
- Identify each competitor’s core value proposition and strongest selling points
- Detect gaps in competitor offerings and opportunities for MediaFusion.ai differentiation
- Summarize findings into structured recommendations for product and marketing teams
- Build a reusable competitive intelligence database for future interns and employees
Application Requirements:
- Curious of Gen-AI and digital content marketing, familiar with remote collaboration software like google workspace, conference meeting, slack, fluent English both verbal and oral. Some experience on short video engagement code and multi-media generation AI models;
- As for interview preparation, prepare a plan proposal on everything you know about market research and competitor investigation
